Great 2nd half yesterday, as we passed more and changed sides of the field using the open spaces
we started to take them out of the game.
Predicting you will have a day off tomorrow please spend a little time on the activities below.
But before that, we are still planning to have a practice at Wiefit on Monday night at 8:00. We will
focus a little time on 1 v 1 defending that we started last Monday but most of our time will be spent
on conditioning, so bring some comfortable running shoes.
So here are some things for your day off:
1. 1v1 Defending: Please watch this video and take notes, he gives 7 Key points and then 4 advanced
key points. We will ask at the beginning of Monday for the 11 key points, please be ready to
explain them.
1v1 Defending
2. Take a look at this Champions League game between Barcelona and Celtic. Celtic is a great team,
they have to be this is the Champions league which means they are one of the best teams in Europe,
Barcelona just possesses them out of the game. This is a video mainly just showing Barcelona's goals. It looks very easy for Barcelona but to get to that point Barcelona played incredible possession
soccer passing and never giving up the ball. Finally Celtic looks like they gave up then Barcelona
just started scoring and did not stop.
Bacelona vs Celtic 6-1
3. Test you positioning knowledge
Here is a fun test to see if you can identify how to best position yourself in different offensive and defensive situations.
Please try to tests 4-7. (the higher you go the harder it gets)

Note: You are the grey Triangle or Circle
Triangle = your on offense
Circle = your on defense
Hint: 1) If you are closest to the ball on defense you need to stop the person with the ball.
2) When you are on offense if everyone is marked maybe you should keep the ball.
